Grape Varieties: Arinto and Chardonnay
Soils: Planted in clay-schist and sandy-loam soils with low yield potential, Vicentino’s grape varieties display their finest attributes.
This blend is produced from Arinto and Chardonnay.
Fermentation & Aging: Hand-harvested grapes. After selection at the winery entrance, the grapes are whole-bunch pressed. Fermentation took place 50% in 350-litre French oak barrels (Chardonnay) and 50% in stainless steel tanks (Arinto), followed by aging on fine lees for 8 months.
Tasting Notes: Greenish-yellow colour. The aroma shows marked citrus notes and minerality, complemented by subtle buttery nuances and high-quality oak. On the palate, it is very enveloping with vibrant acidity. The finish is long, persistent and saline.
Food Pairing and Service: Pairs perfectly with soft cheeses such as Queijo de Azeitão, baked fish, white meats, or Iberian black pork. Try it with an apple tart.
Should be served chilled at a temperature of 9ºC.
